FIRST AID AND CPR TRAINING
* Course format includes video based instruction, group discussion, and hands-on practice.
* Learning is presented in realistic case-based scenarios
* 3-hour courses teach basic principles, how to recognize and appropriately respond to medical emergencies, and specific steps for treating injuries.
* 7-hour courses teach CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training for cardiac emergencies, and first aid for environmental emergencies such as extreme heat, or cold, bites and stings.
AED TRAINING
* Hands-on training with live equipment and multiple event scenarios.
* Affordable Health & Safety professional on-site assessment to help you determine the number of AEDs you need.
* Course includes information on the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, stroke, and child and infant safety.
INDUSTRY SPECIFIC: HEALTHCARE
Affordable Health & Safety offers the course, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. BLS training teaches skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED on adults and children, and relief of FBAO (choking, etc.) in responsive and non responsive victims.
This course is about 6-8 hours in length and is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients both in and out of the hospital.
OSHA COMPLIANCE TRAINING
* 10-hour and 30-hour general industry and construction courses
* Courses are customized by industry and may include the following topics:
> "OSHA Requirements" Introduction
> Reporting and recordkeeping
> Fire protection
> Bloodborne pathogens
> Personal protective equipment
> Hazard Communication
